February's meeting

Well, meeting number two is out of the way and we had a very low turnout but all things considered, it was expected.  We had a cold snap that froze trees, bushes and a lot of vegetation. The thing is, it's understandable.  The neat thing about it is that for those who could not make it out because of the weather, getting sick etc. you can still come to the next meeting on March 8 at 6pm at the All Souls' UU Church at 124 Paredes Line Rd.

If you are interested in becoming a member or making a cash or in-kind donation, contact me at (956)467-3046.

The other good thing is that the officers got a lot done and efficiently took the time to get some business done.

I am hoping that next month won't be so sparse.

Right now, the officers and I are working on getting the literature for the local chapter and getting brochures and booklets from national published.  Hopefully we will have some literature you can take home with you very soon!

The day after that meeting, Julie Thompson, the Regional director for PFLAG National,  is going to be in town for a visit to find out how things are going for us.  I plan on coordinating a meet and greet that evening at 6pm at Cobblehead's.  Everyone interested is welcome!  It would be great if you could make it out to show your support!
